The America's Cup — The Auld Mug — Our Holy Grail
The America's Cup is one of the most spectacular and prestigious events on the global sporting calendar, it is the ultimate test of strategy, teamwork, design and technology, athleticism and mental strength.
It is contested before a global television audience, discussed and debated by nearly 1 billion people in more than 150 countries. The world's most famous sailing race series offers an exceptional communications platform and an unrivalled commercial proposition.
Added to the event is the team in question : TEAMORIGIN. Launched by Sir Keith Mills in January 2007, the team's mission is to win the America's Cup AND inspire action around climate change. A world class team was recruited including Ben Ainslie, triple Olympic Gold medallist and the team, at full operational mode, consisted of nearly 80 of the world's leading sailors, designers, boat builders, shore team experts, managers and marketers all focused on one goal — to bring the America's Cup back to Great Britain where it all began back in 1851.
Between 2007 and 2010, this team provided partners with a unique commercial platform from which to showcase their brands and businesses.
